The heart loves,
The heart breaks,
The heart bends and sways,
It's seemingly ever giving,
Getting nothing in return.
Walls are formed and the heart is hardened.
Pain takes the place of love and the world is shunned.
To love is to hurt and to hurt is to love.
But is the risk of having the heart ripped asunder worth it?
I gave you my heart you cherished and crushed it.
I didn't want to lose you, so I kept you as a friend.
But the pain I wont soon forget.
