THIS WILL INCLUDE SPOILERS FOR DELTARUNE CHAPTERS 3-4, PLAY THE GAME FIRST!!!

Hey!!!! how are you doing??? I've been getting into deltarune more and more and well the new chapters just came out so, what better way to celebrate than to show my horrible theories to everyone on the internet??? These aren't much, but they're theories I had so yeah. If any of these is a popular fandom theory uhm my apologies gang I literally don't fucking like people so I don't get involved with fandoms

Without further ado...

I have a few theories I will summarize:

— Dess is the Roaring Knight 

Now this might be pretty obvious but well, the antlers, the Holiday family related stuff, the appearance of her room and her mum being mad over Susie touching her guitar. I'd say this is kinda obvious as a theory for me because in the Knight's debut chapter, chapter 3, we get Raise Up Your Bat. 

This track is heavily "censored" by Ralsei but despite that we can still see the original lyrics. These are probably talking about Dess, and how Dess is the knight and is guided by the Soul on where to go and where to make fountains. + Someone on the phone speaks to Kris, saying " Kris, you promised " which makes me think Kris was involved in Dess' dissapearance somehow (tying in with the fact Noelle and Kris stopped being friends for a while) and so Kris is in debt with Dess

— Asgore is being evicted for malicious reasons

Maybe I fucking hallucinated it but in Asgore's flower shop there's mail/paper that says he'll be evicted, obviously the town is...a bit of a mess so Carol, being the mayor, could save Asgore from being evicted right? since they're close friends/friends. I believe that Asgore is being blackmailed into keeping Dess' dissapearance a secret, " but everyone knows about her dissapearance! " they don't know how she dissapeared, or what happened to her. (No footage shown yet, I was told by my boyfriend) Asgore is seen talking/thinking about telling Toriel what happened to Dess. He probably knows what happened but he's working for Carol and depends on her to not be homeless. So he has to keep quiet

— Every darkner is an item/ralsei is a people pleaser (confirmed. canon...?)

This theory was basically talking about how every darkner is an item and ralsei is kris' horn headband, how he had been thrown away before and that's why he's such a people pleaser. It's...semi-canon? we don't know if he IS the headband, but he never mentions which item he is. 

— The soul isn't evil/not the player (kinda...right? i have no idea)

THIS THEORY IS BASED ON THE NORMAL ROUTE BUT I ALSO PERSONALLY BELIEVE IT APPLIES TO SNOWGRAVE ROUTE

This theory was basically that the soul, is not the player, just the part we control, and is the good part of Kris, being a ying yang situation (in evil theres good, in good theres evil). This is kinda canon because in chapter 4 we can see Kris is on the bad guy's side without the soul, but on the snowgrave route, the soul is FUCKED UP

My theory for the snowgrave route involving this one is that maybe after Dess dissapeared and Asriel left for college Kris knew so much and was all alone because Noelle didn't wanna be their friend anymore, kind of projecting as I am mentally ill and well, mentally ill people when desperate and distraught may make horrible choices
