Hot take perhaps but I think just about everyone who says they want a puppy should have to take care of a 1-2 year old dog for at least 2 weeks. Especially if it's a WORKING dog. If you only want a puppy then just foster neonates and adopt them out or return them when they get to an adoptable age; do not make a lifelong commitment to an animal because they were just sooo cute and they were the only quiet one in the litter despite being huskies or some stupid shit. 

Brought to you by: I am so tired of and distressed and depressed over watching so many 1-2 year old puppies (especially huskies and shepherds, lots more belgian shepherds esp ever since they got popular 😒😒😒) get surrendered once they start displaying typical behaviors for their breed and/or age, all because the person(s) who took them could or would not commit to the level of care these dogs need!
