Deltarune (POTENTIAL CH. 3 SPOILERS)

I’m sure I don’t need to elaborate. I’ve been avoiding spoilers like the plague in order to find everything myself, and it’s been fascinating tearing apart Chapter 3 in order to uncover everything. I haven’t even touched 4 yet, though I’m excited to.

I won’t be very specific to avoid spoiling too much, but the themes have been fascinating to me. The parallels between the boards and the game itself is such a rich metatextual thing — the way there’s only one way to properly kill in Deltarune, through playing the game “not as intended” and completing the Weird Route, versus how the boards played in main progression are completely neutered when compared to the secret version… it’s incredibly compelling stuff.

The methodical way you go about killing enemies in the secret boards, hunting down every last one… it reminded me of the Weird Route from the jump, even before the theming became more explicit.

Also, Ramb is maybe my favorite character at this point…
