so i guess ive decided to dedic8 my blog 2 my tiny old tech collection now? xP anyways i bought this keitai second hand off ebay around a year ago, it was around $60 (usd) iirc. as the title says its a digno kyocera 701kc, i think it was released in 2017 so i guess its not actually old tech. runs a version of android i think? it accesses the internet well on wifi but it only takes 3g or 4g so it probably wont work for calling/texting in the us even if i put a sim card in it (T_T)
a lot of websites also dont support the os anymore sadly, mostly social media websites like twitter or tumblr. i also havent been able to log into my email on the mail app sadly :( maybe its cuz it doesnt have a sim card? well, it can use the gmail website so nbd. im sure the people of r/dumbphones have figured out how to install all sorts of programs on it but im not that smart so im just working with the basic apps (there are a ton of them lol)
even if it doesnt do much, its still super cute!! im looking forward to hopefully getting my hands on some other digno keitais in the future!

i am so so so tempted to get one of these little fancy flip phones or literally any "retro" phone that supports wifi (such as a blackberry passport or whatever it's called) but i'm also not sure what i'd need it for since i dont really call or text people all that much in the first place :o either way, very cool post
thank you!! i think you should totally get a flip phone if u want one, even if u dont have a use for it. i dont have a use for mine at all XD
flip phones all have such unique and beautiful designs, i think theres no harm in having one just to appreciate that
