“What are you living?”

Lately I’ve been asking myself a strange little question: “What are you living?”

Like, what are you dragging through the day with you?
A melody? A memory? A mission? A grudge?
Are you living noise? Beauty? Algorithms? Regret?
Are you living your mom’s expectations?
Your ex’s silence?
Or something brand new and bright and weird and golden?

I'm living for God, to use my paint stains and calloused fingers to reverberate hope and love, stuff worth singing about.
