gritting my teeth together rn

i keep finding more people within my local scene but everyone wants to play thrash and its so copy and paste everywhere, everyones trying to be like (insert my town's most popular band) and its so boring. i love thrash dont get me wrong, but wheres the hardcore, sludge, slam, death metal, any of the metal core genres; hell i'll even take some punk in the scene as well. theres such a lack of variety. even if i did have a group we wouldnt hit it big or even do half decent here where i live, the nearest town that even has the kinda music im looking for is a little over an hour away from me, minimum. i love my local scene dont get me wrong, but im starting to fall asleep standing up at these shows, especially with how dead some of these crowds have been recently
