I spent about 8 hours playing before I forced myself to get off the game because I was starting to feel physically sick staring at a screen for so long lol. I’d like to share some of my thoughts on the game so far. I’d also love to hear your thoughts in the comments!!!
I think this is an unpopular opinion based on what I’ve seen other people say but I actually really enjoyed the puzzles and mini games included in chapter 3. The fact that there’s an option to replay the mini games is also cool and I definitely spent more time than necessary trying to get the highest scores. However, this is the only thing that saved this chapter for me.
This whole chapter is dialogue heavy and filled with very obvious lore drops. Being a huge lore fanatic for this game it was exciting at first, but it felt weird and got boring real quick. It felt like there was barely any subtlety, which was very odd considering this is what Toby Fox is known to do in his writing. The pacing for this chapter also felt rushed and I didn’t find myself caring any of the characters. It’s a shame because one of my favorites actually appeared in this chapter. I’ve replayed the previous chapters dozens of times for the secret bosses and to gather more dialogue out of characters and objects, but for the first time I’m actually not really looking forward to replaying a chapter. Fortunately, chapter 5 has been a way better experience so far.
I haven’t finished chapter 5 yet but I am so excited to pick up where I left off. I’m unsure if I can word it without spoilers so all I will say is that there is something very unique and shocking that happens early in the chapter which had me hooked. We also get to learn more about certain character interactions and dynamics in this chapter. There’s a certain someone that shows up in this chapter that I did not expect to appear (I freaked out over the implications and what it could possibly mean). That’s all I can say about this chapter so far and I will definitely pick it up again once I upload this post lol.

there are people who dislike the chapter 3 minigames??? I get the first one but the second and the bonus ones are both super good.
The day the game released I saw many people complaining but now I’m glad to see that many others enjoyed those as much as I did

i thought it was awesome but they kinda stayed in the same spot for about 75% of the chapter, not only that but I got stuck in a loop in one spot but it was my fault. really liked those moon and cloud characters though. ended crazy, I did NOT think they would reveal something that big at the end of only chapter 3.
It def did feel like there was no progress and it sorta made the big reveal at the end feel rushed imo :’) The moon and cloud characters were very cute and their banter was pretty entertaining. I was personally rooting for them but I wonder if there’s any dialogue difference if you pit them against each other. I’ll try it my next playthrough lol
