Headphones and.. oopsies?

Hey guys! So I painted my headphones cuz I got bored.

I really like how they turned out ^^

The thing is.. I didn't have any paint sealer or whatever and I read that you can just use clear nailpolish which I DO have. But now when I wear them they kinda stink..

I already used disinfectant wipes on them to neutralize the smell(?)

And I think it helped since I don't really smell it anymore, but maybe I just got used to the smell? I've only been wearing them for like 10 minutes max though.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of the smell without ruining my headphones? ☠️
