Jonathan Joss, he deserved better..

There are so many reasons why I'm uncomfortable being out in public, many of which are due to the vicious hate crimes that have and continue to happen.

None of those kind people deserved to be hurt or have their lives stolen.

I'm sickened that such hateful people think that we're the problem, while they go about harming others.

Our community should not have to endure such treatment. We do not deserve this. All we want to do is exist and live peacefully.

To be our authentic selves and enjoy life.

The recent news of what atrocities Jonathan Joss and his husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales hit hard.

While I did not personally know him, I grew up with his works. In a way, he helped to shape me into the person I am today.

It feels like I lost a second Father.

I'm really trying my best to not get too emotional over this, but it's difficult.
