"even a worm will turn"

The weakest, most docile creature known to man. A worm, pushed hard enough will turn. The suffering, the pain, the anger, everything that you go through is fuel. I resonate with this phrase more than I wish I did. I have worked very hard to get to where I am today, and some days I catch myself going back to the same habits that I had when I wasn't doing well. But healing isn't linear and sometimes I forget that.

It is okay to be angry. But my one hope for everyone reading this is that if you have the chance to hurt the person like they did to you, you choose to walk away. You're allowed to feel your feelings, and you most definitely should. But that does not give you the right to hurt others just because you're hurt. Hurting someone in hopes of healing yourself will never work, it ultimately will make you feel ten times worse.

You are allowed to turn, if pushed enough and everyone has different levels of what they can handle. Sometimes it is necessary. Learn from it and move past it. If someone is pushing you to the point where you have to get revenge or retaliate that person shouldn't be in your life much longer. What doesn't give you peace, inspire you, or help you grow shouldn't stay a part of your life much longer.

You're allowed to feel, I hope this gave you some peace of mind.

-all my love

This resonated with me in a way that’s hard to put into words. The metaphor of a worm turning, quiet, gentle, but finally reacting when pushed too far, captures something raw and real about the human experience. It’s powerful that you acknowledged how healing isn’t linear, it’s messy, and often, it loops back before it moves forward. Your reminder that feeling anger is valid, but choosing not to inflict the same pain back, is a rare kind of strength. It’s a higher kind of healing, one that doesn’t deny our wounds but refuses to let them dictate who we become. Thank you for writing this with such clarity and care. You’re right, peace isn’t found in revenge, but in letting go of what poisons us. I truly hope more people read this and feel less alone in their battles.
