knowing basic sewing patterns is super useful with thrifting!!! You can find a lot of simple ones on pinterest n tiktok and the learning curve is non existant.
Like we all see those huge xl womans shirts with cute patterns and theyre actually rly easy to turn into cute tops lol.
Also knowing how to distress items without damaging them is a rly good skill!

I personally wear a lot from punk rave. (goth guy here)
The key for me is colour matching often times wearing 2 to 3 colours only.
Work in either Monchomatic or Complementary colours combo's.
Make sure you know yur skin type and what colours to avoid.
Yur eyes gonna be key to what colours suit best. (google it, Cuz i can't speak for all)

And then it's just adding layers ontop of layers (autum and winter are gonna be yur friends in this)
but for summer spice up things with jewlery or in my case often chains.
Skirts/ half skirts over pants, seen my class mates wear bra's over t shirts (if the right ones it will actually look very cool) You can also DIY some old clothes by cutting them up or sewing things onto it.

Uuuuhhh personally gloves summer or winter i always wear finger tipless gloves.
idk makes the arms less naked in a way. if the sleeves of the shirt are short then longer gloves / arm cover shiz will slap.

and make sure YOU like the fit! if you yourself don't like the fit the entire fit will not work. It's yur own confidence in your appearance that makes any fit complete.

Oh and avoid sweat pants. or like that whole sport suit.....avoid it. it makes you look lazy and like you can't take care of yourself well enough. (unless you wear it for actual sporting, but don't wear it as a casual fit)

Aight hope it helps.
