linux, massive attack, the matrix

my dad got a new laptop so he gave me his old one. its an intel ideapad 3. i did a factory rest and decided to have my nerd ass brother help me install linux for better processing speed and improved battery life. ive been considering switching to linux for a while but i definitely wouldnt be able to figure it out on my own. i think im pretty tech literate, but some aspects of linux are a little too advanced for me. i still use windows as my the os on my desktop... maybe ill end up switching that over too if this works out.

anyway im listening to that massive attack song that was in the matrix: dissolved girl. that whole album (mezzanine) is incredible. massive attack is so good. my dad used to listen to them in the 90s and put me on as a tween. when i start djing i mostly want to mix downtempo and industrial. separately, of course.

those two thoughts are mostly unrelated. i guess using linux makes me feel a bit like neo in that one scene. a couple months ago i tried like 3 times to rewatch the maxtrix but got cut off halfway through every time. i guess the universe was dead set on me not finishing that movie
