and the angels wont save you....

This might seem stupid because she is not a real person, but I don't know how people can watch Fire Walk With Me, read Laura's diary and see what she went through in Twin Peaks and romanticize her self destructive coping mechanisms such as doing drugs, her hypersexuality and eventual prostitution.  "I would do coke with her" "I want to be mysterious like her", how can you see a teenage girl victimized by her own father and in need of so much help and comfort that she turned to all these stuff and say that you would have liked to be apart of it?

I also hate how people reduce her disappearance and murder to an "aesthetic"!!! The mood boards and edits are cute and stuff and David Lynch does amazing with the cinematography but all these posts about how "hip" she was for doing all the things that destroyed her are so sick!

She's such an important character and representation for victims that when non-victims do this stuff it make me upset. Everybody can have their different interpretations or views on a character, but it really feels weird, maybe borderline disrespectful. Maybe I'm crazy, but I just feel very deeply for Laura Palmer! How can I not?
