Hi!
It's me again (Owner).
I'd like to talk about my brand—well, I haven’t been able to work on it as often as I’d like, but one I’m deeply passionate about nonetheless. The idea came to me over the years and evolved from an earlier concept I had called Failure by Design, a phrase I picked up from the Florida rap duo, $uicideboy$. Back then, I was going through a really hard time with myself, and most of what I felt—toward myself and the path I was heading—was negative. But those feelings are long gone now, and I’m able to express myself much better, both verbally, socially, and creatively.
The brand now leans—or so I have at least I’ve led it—to focus on the idea of collaboration, the Filipino/Kapampangan youth, and in celebration of all of these. I want the brand to help cultivate a scene for artists across the province. I also want to welcome the idea of revisiting old concepts and traditions of Pampanga as much as we create new ones, culminating both to strengthen identity and preserve culture.
Even if I haven’t figured out all the hows yet, I’m clear on why this brand matters to me.
Although culture has definitely inspired me a lot recently, I don’t think it’ll be the main theme of the brand. I want the relationship between the brand and culture to feel seamless, not too overbearing—if that makes sense. I want my brand to be competitive by applying trending techniques in creating visuals all the while maintaining that balance.
I might add a little more this post later on, but this is more or less the gist of what Fueled by Dreams is—a shared frame and or space for the ideas of work-in-progress and collaboration.
With Love,
Owner
