I rarely go to funerals since I don't like them, but I got dragged to go to my great-uncle's funeral. First we waited at the funeral home (is that what you call it?) to chat with the family, wait for people so that everyone could go together to church. surprisingly, people were very lively and happy in a sense, talking about everything except my uncle, but that depends on the family

you go to church and people will be mostly crying there, and when church ends you may want to/be forced to go to the graveyard... or not

you'll be fine. people are going to be more worried about the one who unfortunately passed/the plans they had for the day so nothing goes sour than what you do. cry or not cry, that's on you. i loved my uncle and i didn't cry

may she rest in peace, and may you have an easy night

take it easy, this things are hard and people don't know what to do in these scenarios. the best case is if you "fuck up" (HIGHLY unlikely), people won't even remmeber because they're more focused on their own feelings. just be you, come with a heavy heart, leave without it

Just getting out your feelings is best. My friends dad died recently and they had the funeral not to long after. I cried so much at it. I felt so much better afterwards. It’s best to just cry or be angry however you express sadness
