Brief Rambling About Zines + a Zine Community

I've become pretty interested in the concept of Zines over the past few months. MiniZines, specifically. I started seeing tiktoks a few months back about how to fold a piece of paper into a MiniZine and then others about other forms of zine-making and the whole thing just looked really cool to me.

I brought the idea up to some of my friends and we've been kinda-sorta diving into Zine-making since then. I chose to make my Zines by volume under one title: Bushel & A Peck. I don't put my name on it, so the title is kinda like the identifier I guess. Some of the Zines my friends have made are more like one-offs, which is something I've seen pretty frequently in my brief time of browsing Zine stuff online. Either way, they're cool I think.

My friends and I have actually made a Discord server about making and sharing Zines (and also hanging out with the shared interest). It started out as a sorta "unofficial club" for our college but we decided to expand so we can hopefully bring in lots of folks who might want to join us :)

I've made a promotional MiniZine for our server, too!! I'll try to add a picture of it here but I've never actually added pictures to my blogs before so we'll see how that goes lmao. If it works it works and if it doesn't.... Oh well !
