Medievality is my latest obsession. I love the colours, textiles, architecture and general aesthetic vision of the middle ages and I think we should all lowkey be having a fifteenth-century summer. Anyways, just for fun, here's a list of things I have started doing that quench my thirst to be a Lord-daughter's handmaiden living on the cliffs of Tintagel.
β using darkwood only in my bedroom!! I'm trying to make all the wooden furniture in my room match so that they're all mahogany.Β
β keeping my precious items like jewellery, handwritten letters and old photographs in chests. I have a large carved one with a scene of people hunting on it (love that one) and a smaller box that my best friend made for me and one under my bed, secured by a white ribbon, that houses my most treasured keepsakes.Β
β thrifting older renaissance prints that have interesting frames. I've only picked up one of these so far but I am deep on the hunt for more!! They look very nice on the walls hanging above my side table.Β
β candles...everywhere
β daily roleplaying honestly. I've found that lately the only way I can study is if I put on my edwardian nightgown and listen to fantasy tavern ambience and pretend im a scholar from distant lands. Bonus points if im also sipping a cup of herbal tea.Β

Now here's some songs that are good that sort of bring out the colourfulness of the middle ages through the use of harpsichord specifically:
βConcertina Ballerina - Alternative Radio
β Valley of Evergreen - Alternative Radio
β Scary - Bjork
β Village Green - The Kinks
β Army Dreamers - Kate Bush
Okay, that's all!Β
