phone shopping sucks (vent)

trying to find a smartphone that isn't ass that's around the $300-400 mark is making my fucking brain hurt. "well, just get an old flagship" WHERE??????????????? literally where, there's literally no where to look. most official stores don't even sell them no more, so you have to scan around the internet looking for a listing-- even then, the color you want isn't even available to purchase. i know beggars can't be choosers, but still! i want a device that looks good as well as works good!!!!!!!!! and even THATS debatable because the horror stories i've read say that the phone's probably won't even work! what the shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

whatever man, im just thinking of getting a mid range phone, i'm just desperate at this point. ive had my old phone for 10+ years with dog shit storage and performance. it needs to be put down like old yeller at this point. but where do i begin? what do i do? fml. maybe ill just ask my friends for advice, but idk. fml
