I’m not usually the kind of person who enjoys comedic or over-the-top acting—I’ve always tended to avoid that side of movies. But Kamikaze Girls completely changed that for me. The direction, the visual style, the VCR-style edits, the costume design, the fashion—everything was just so well done.
Momoko was the character who won me over. At first, she came off as strange, but she got me when she told her mom to live her life and get breast implants. That moment sealed it—she had my full respect. Her style and personality are so unique, and honestly, something I’d love to emulate.
And Ichigo… OMG, mommy. I’d gladly let her spit on me (just kidding—kind of). She was such a badass.
This movie was an absolute delight, and I’d definitely watch it again. Happy Pride Month!
