CALLING ALL HTML NERDS!!!!! (4 help)

kay i love my current layout sm but like i feel like im mostly just copy and pasting or spamming <img src="(insert some random ass pinterest/spacehey img link)"> like bro. if anyone actually knows how html works PLEASE give me tips bec there is so much i would want to figure out, but right now i feel like i can't find any tutorial that isn't fucking confusing as hell. like i can do what they say but i need to UNDERSTAND why they do what they say, ya know?? I pick up on some basic things if im trying to edit/change something that i found on some random ass person's blog, but i can't repeat that stuff for shit. like if i find a sick ass layout but im like "oh i wanna change the background" or "hmm i should edit the color of this" i can figure it out using my jimmy neutron brain, but i CANNOT just type that shit up (」°ロ°)」

like ts is repeatable but tf you mean you just typed up the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous layout just bec u memorized that shit?? what!!
