<p> So among the new gen of emos on tiktok, they're like, 12-15 year old on an average, there's this weird trend, that if they're in the MCR fanbase they'll either pretend like Ray Toro doesn't exist or they'll infantalize him to the max. It's normal for them to leave comments like 'Gerard p1ss on me' and shiz under edits about him, but they'll only say stuff like 'aww look at him babie!!' under Ray Toro edits. I'm sorry what the furck do you mean Ray isn't hotยฟยฟยฟ Because that's the message I'm recieving from using tiktok for the past year :((( Yeah he doesn't look like he's 17 forever, so what? He's still so smokin hot, to me at least.ย Of course, everyone is allowed to have a preference! It's just that I see so little mcr people on tiktok being as open with their love to him as much as they are with the other guys :/ย
<p> Also, why is he like, the most unappreciated person in the fandom? Have y'all seen his guitar chords???? And he sings so pretty too!!!! He's so talented guyz... :c

I personally don't listen a lot to MCR, i wouldn't consider myself being in the fanbase?? But reading this is actually kinda concerning me:/

It's so sad. Ray is such a nice guy, and he always been, he's a pretty man just like the other members of the band. I usually joke abt saying things under mcr edits with my friends. But people that say those things seriously are disgusting. They're grown men and they all have kids and a family. Ofc they don't look 23 anymore.

sadly tiktok and the new generation has ruined a lot of emo bands and emo culture by just creating a very toxic/annoying fandom. It also sucks because it's gotten so bad it gets the normal fans of their music or culture weird looks because of them :/
I love that emo and alternative bands from the 2000s and 2010s are making a big resurgence and are getting popular again but at this point its just became a trend to like these bands and this kind of music rather than just being emo or having an emo music taste. It's nice that people like the songs now and can share them with others but people will listen to the most popular song and make it their whole personality it kinda ruins the fun in it
Honestly alt in general has been ruined because of TikTok ppl will call themselves emo or smth just bc they wear black thatโs not even how it works I just hate that part of social media sm
