I'm just going to yap about what I think, and lore about vamps.
Also, this is a great video. Vampire biology video (i love this guy). I'm not going to repeat anything he said for the most part.
On a base level, vampires suck blood. On the other hand, if we look at vampire bats, they create incisions in the skin and lick up the blood. It's only logical that vampires would do that, as if they sucked, it would leave a hickey-like bruise.
Dampyrs, I find pretty cool as a concept. Half vampire, half human? SIGN ME UP BRO. I need to look into dampyrs more. Balkan lore is so cool :3
It should be a well known fact that vampires are prone to obsessive compulsive habits such as counting (like Count Count), and I believe people used to scatter seeds on graves/coffins to stall vampires due to their arithmomania. They also have tendency to rearrange furniture. Now, in folklore a vampire cannot enter unless invited in. I believe this more depends on the individual, as there seems to be no basis for this. I choose to believe it has less to do with a physical inability and more so another trait of the compulsive nature.
Vampires would also reflect perfectly in modern mirrors; you see, mirrors many many MANY years ago would have been made of silver. Vampires and silver is a well known phenomenon. Whereas modern mirrors are made of glass. But depending on the media you're viewing they might not reflect on anything, even water.
And what if vampires had made up the garlic thing? It's been proven in I believe a 2018 study involving rats (look it up, if you wish) that garlic reduces blood clots. If a person were to eat a large amount of garlic to repel vampires, logically it would make feeding easier on said vampire as the lack of blood clots would make blood flow into the mouth more easily.
I'll probably add to this at some point. Also, would vampires feel hungry or thirsty when they have to drink blood?

Do you think Vanpires could be seen in phones since some of them (yes I know only in some) is silver so would they be able to touch it since the silver isn't direct? And could they show up in the camera
I HC that only sanguine (bloodsucking) vampires can, mostly because theyre alot more physical w/ feeding and you'd think it carries into that. Idk if that makes sense but :'D

i think this is soooo coool. i love things like this and i really love your last point about the garlic, ive never thought about it like that before. i think im gonna watch that video you were talking about it sounds really interesting!!
