Ok, this is gonna be controversial but... not everything is caused by misogyny (TW)

I often see very nitpicky things being associated with misogyny and honestly, I'm getting tired. From music ratings to game stats, when I compare it all to I've been through, it feels like playground drama. A lot of people don't seem to think about how it could just be a rule of majority, and sure while that majority thing might have been caused by misogyny back then, nowadays it's mostly about what the majority of women are interested in doing/making, which doesn't have any less merit than what a man does, but are just very acquired tastes.

As a woman who has faced misogyny to the point of even death threats and physical assault, I often like to take many different approaches before I come to conclusion of misogyny because I often don't like to associate my gender with "being a victim". I'm a woman, so what I am? I make weird music, so what I do? Female or not, I like what I like and I do what I wanna do. So what if I don't get selected in a top 10 musicians' list? I wouldn't chock that up to my gender, it's just an acquired taste.

And how do I know those past experiences were caused by misogyny, you ask? Hmmm... does "This is what happens when you let girls go to school" ring a bell? "Girls shouldn't be outside of the house" in broad daylight? A nutjob going around threatening to cut literal childrens' labias? My neighborhood was chock full of these kinda mfs, saying self-justifying shit while committing abhorrencies like it ain't shit. This is what happens when you live in a Southeast Asian ghetto.

When I share my most extreme traumas with you, I want you to compare how I used to live with how I am now. The way you think and live may be influenced by your trauma but it doesn't always have to be. It'll take time yes, but once you've done it, the world feels open. Put down the victim complex for a second, don't forget it cuz it might be useful but just put it to the side when you can let your guard down, you begin to see the open doors waiting for you to prove your skill as a person.

That's a bunch of great ideas that mayority of people doesn't want to understand. I think that the "victim" etiquete it's very huge-spreading in TikTok and Twitter.
