Scythe (Neal Shusterman) is an AMAZING book, itβs a trilogy and Iβm halfway through the third book rn! Itβs about a world in the far future where humanity has reached its peak in technology. No one can die anymore, so to combat overpopulation, thereβs an elite group of individuals known as Scythes. They are able to βgleanβ (kill) people and are the only ones able to do so. The story is amazing and raises questions like what it means to be human, what people do with too much power, and why natural death and mourning is important to the human experience. If you love good characters, worldbuilding, and deep questions like those, you should definitely read this book! (Itβs also not queer necessarily but there is a genderfluid character, I love them sm π©΅)

You should read Scythe!!
