of course i dont think a dni will immediately keep me fully shielded from people i dislike, but i like to have one because it serves as a warning to those people that this is not a safe space for them, and that i will block them. and, more importantly, it serves as a sign to the people that are affected by these people's bigotry that my account will always be a safe space for them.
