IM OFFICALLY 16!!!

WOOOO!!!!! CONFETTI CONFETTI!!!!!

it is currently midnight, and todays now my birthday!!! ill probably post a birthday gift haul soon, + a fun trip to the aquarium on the 31st!!

but seriously, although im happy, im also getting pretty nostalgic. when i was 12, turning 16 was pretty much my only goal in life. i hadnt thought of anything to do inbetween, and my view on life was pretty small. i thought that when i was 16, id be in like 10 friend groups, id have a ton of money, and id fuck around every day, collecting memories to share with others one day.

but that didnt happen at all. im 16 now, with pretty much no offline friends, my family is still incredibly poor, and i mostly listen to music and sit in bed all day. in reality, i think i prefer this a little more (just a little more, having money would fix a LOT of my problems lololol). i always got really tired of talking to people irl, im not the type of person that connects with a lot of people on a deeper level. 

im not sure what 2025-2026 has in store for me, but i do have a LOT of plans (which ill make separate posts about, dont worry!!) and a lot of hopes in mind. 

i really want to enter this new era of my teenage years with a fresh, healthy mind. i really wanna be optimistic about this year, because i didnt expect anything good when i was 14, and that entire year SUCKEDDD. i know that things happen, and that my expectations wont be entirely like how it was on paper, but thats okay. 

things are going to go smoothly, and i really intend on focusing more on my emotions and how they impact me. the most important thing i learned last year was that i shouldnt let people walk all over me. i had to learn the hard way that the best way to deal with something isnt to just suffer in silence. if i had something to say, i should say it. 

this year, im going to make sure i dont let my emotions get the better of me. i wanna be the bigger person for once. ill speak my truth, damn it!!!!

overall, im using life as an opportunity to learn and grow from my former self. thats what life is all about, yeah?
