i just got out of freshman year and honestly, its not that bad. everyone makes it alot worse sounding then it really is. It is kinda hard to keep up with your assignments but please if you take anything from this comment, DO NOT GET BEHIND ON ASSIGNMENTS. even if u are out that day try your hardest to get them turned in on time. they will pile up sooooooo fast and then its right before the quarter is done and u have no idea where to start with all of it. Also be prepared to lose some friends. and thats not necessarily a bad thing, i promise you will make better ones in their spot. anyway tho, you got this just remember to keep ur head up!!

I graduated a couple of weeks ago. Middle school teachers make highschool sound a lot worse then it really is so you’re prepared. The work is comparatively much more advanced, but it will feel of the same difficulty because you’ll have learned. You will be amazed at what math you’ll be able to solve in four years, and the essays you’ll have written. You will be amazed at how much you have grow as a person. There will be some terrible days, but there will also be some amazing ones. You’ve got this.

(And try to love math. It will make your classes so much easier if you can find the beauty in it.)

I was assuming it was like how my elementary teachers were making middle school out to be some nightmare, so we would be prepared. I'll try to enjoy and not dread math since dreading math set me back by a long shot in middle school. Overall, I'm excited to see how I grow as a person as I go into high school.

freshman year was very easy (FOR ME AT LEAST)!! its inherently nerve wracking because theres a bunch of new people and such a wide range of ages BUT BE NOT AFRAID!! upper-classmen are not as intimidating as they seem, all the assignments are lowkey a breeze, and its pretty much the same as middle school just way way way less annoying and awful. hope this helps :)

It's nice to know that it's pretty much the same as middle school. The only difference there is that I have different classmates each period. I'm sure I'll be nervous the first few days, but as soon as I get used to being around upper classmen and my schedule, I'll be fine. Thank you. :)

Honestly no freshman year from my experience really isn’t bad at all! It might be a bit nerve wracking for the first few days maybe even a week cause you are learning the layout and where your classes are and then meeting new people on top of that but other then that I’d say freshman year is pretty nice. You meet a lot of new people as well which is pretty cool as well.

I feel like I'll be nervous for a few days bc I'm always nervous the first few days. Another thing I'm worried about is just not having classes with my friends bc in middle school I had the same people in my class every period, but high school is different and also just hearing people saying that their freshman year was bad or smth like that, but it's nice knowing that it most likely won't be as bad as people are making it out to.

As a current senior, it's not bad at all!! It's gonna probably be your easiest year tbh! You'll feel a bit out of place at first but once you get down the layout of the school and get used to everything you'll have fun!! And you're gonna meet some amazing people and some amazing teachers. And, you're gonna meet some not so amazing people, but keep the good ones close ykwim!!! You'll be fine and have fun trust!!

I also think freshamn year is the one year u can kinda slack off in, don't take everything too seriously honestly. I mean, stay on top of stuff but at the same time idk its prob the least important year.

Thank you. I was mainly worried because people were saying that it was going to be my worst year and that it's different from middle school, but knowing that it won't be as hard as people say it makes me feel better about going into 9th grade.
