since im studying it as a freshman, i dont have too much experience in it, just passing exams which require the minimum yknow (subjects like history, linear algebra yknow, barely covering the major)
and i have got google‘s that 8-course certificate too
so now im lowk lost

i'm not really sure, it's totally up to you! all through college and even after it, i always had this nagging feeling that i was supposed to be doing some crazy startup shit and change the world or whatever. i realized quickly that i didn't even have one good project that i was proud of to show people. my github is still admittedly chopped but putting together the whole process, start to finish, of design and development and deployment is very satisfying and good for the portfolio
i think you should try to build things that fit needs that you or people you know have. it's the whole practical reason for non-math compsci! building things isn't just swe - it's also tearing apart your home network to rebuild it more securely etc. for cybersec, it could be pen testing or bughunting. make sure u have a port that shows off all the things that makes u special.
for me i had a long road. i thought i was better than i was - so every time i went to go try to make an idea, i would inevitably run into a blocker that killed the engine for my project (because i wasn't skilled enough in some domain). i got the most joy in my job out of grinding those moments out until i was able to learn enough to clear the blocker. you feel me?
all the joy and money in this field nowadays is only in those who self-drive and self-motivate. the field is so saturated now that you have to really lock in to set yourself apart. sounds like tho if ur already on all that shit as a freshman u should be good. just remember that synthesizing your skills to create products will always outclass individual excellence on independent skills

ahhhh now i get your point, you are right
and yep, like i remember the first time learning python in high school and once i had to create a whole database in it, using graphs, normal interface and stuff
and MANNN that was indeed an experience so i get your point
i have heard of pentesting and bughunting and i have always felt like i should research more and more and i feel like as much as i read articles or search more ab it, more lost i get soo i guess ill start even just now
thx for enlightening!!
