Currently reading The Secret History but I'm not that updated with the greek epics and plays so i feel like I'm missing a great chunk of context😞😞😞 so now I have to go on reddit and substack to understand the context of some things but i think this is one of the best parts about reading so I'm having fun with regardless. I need to start with my french lessons before college begins ^~^ I think ill post my painting when I'm done with it

OH MY GOD THE SECRET HISTORY IS SO AMAZING. I definitely understand what you mean with the whole fomo thing while reading but I do really recommend you look up the latin and Greek translation since they often offer a great insight on what characters are thinking and stuff like that (cubitum eamus' for example). The whole greek mythology thing doesn't require much apart from maybe a little general knowledge but never be scared to just look stuff up like ur already doing, personally I think its more fun to do so by actually doing the research myself instead of goin on forums that just analyze the book itself. :))
no liek as I'm reading it, I'm discovering more books and plays cuz I make sure to search up every literary reference and I feel like this is definitely one of the best reading experiences ever cuz I'm learning so much bru Donna Tart is such a genius🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬
