nubbing out

been playing this awesome indie game recently called Nubby’s Number Factory… it’s like 5 dollars on steam and it’s the best shit ever. really the only games i play (and am reasonably skilled at) are strategy roguelikes and the occasional farming sim. nubby’s is the former. i’ve played balatro for some hours and enjoyed it, i’ve played a lot of slay the spire and i love that game; nubby’s is in the same general genre as those two, but without the cards. 

one of the reasons i love it so much is because of how absurd the style is… it’s got the aesthetics of retro 3d models and uncanny valley (yet charming) computer rendering, with very strange item creatures and other fun things. i love playing it in front of people and when they’re like “wtf are you playing” i get to say “nubby’s number factory. it’s awesome”
