She tell me, "No! I ain' go in car'n'age! Stay here in di gerage! 

I am afraid, and you know aftah I was; don't dey have night crawlers? 

Anyting' you have to do, do it here! We ain' have notin' to fear!" 

When I hol' she to demonstrate mi plan is when di trouble began

She start tah workin' up, and workin' up, and workin' up, and workin' up; and she carried on!

She foot stick in di steering wheel, blowin' di bloody horn! (let me hear you!)

(Trumpets Blow)

She fadda come out, one matchet in he 'an! Oh mi Lawd!

Di old bool' snag her shoulder while he bawlin' "Shame, Sparrow, Shame!"

He said, "You spoilin' mi daughtah name! Sparrow don't come back here again, supposin' mi daughtah strayin'."
