Hi!!!!!!!! I just wanted to talk about the cute Windows stuff that I added to my PC to make it super cute!
1. Rainmeter!
I downloaded Rainmeter, which is this really fun Windows skin/wallpaper app to add skins to my home screen! I found this amazing Reddit guide to the Needy Streamer Overload Rainmeter skin and followed every step to make my computer super pink and KAngel coded!
Rainmeter helped me add tons of cute widgets to my computer. First, I downloaded the Pink Paper wallpaper that Ame uses in game for my wallpaper. Next, I installed the NSO skin and put the sidebars on both sides of my computer. It's the same sidebars in game, so it even changes colors to match the time of day! Morning and afternoon use the daytime theme. At 5 pm, it changes to the sunset theme. And at 8 pm, it changes to the night theme! It's so immersive!
Of course, I had to add all the other widgets too! Task Manager was essential. It uses the same one from the game (a common theme) and it helps me so much when I want to see how slow my PC is without opening the manager. (Cause I can never memorize any of the Windows shortcuts besides copy and paste.)
Calendar was a bit of a pain to set up, but it was really worth it! I found my area thingy from the Weather service and pasted my area code into it, so I could get accurate weather updates and temperature for my area! It even works as a clock showing the date and time! Kinda wish there was a way to change the temperature type from C to F. I have no clue what the temperature is since I only use Fahrenheit, but at least it looks cute!
The Webcam of course, shows our glorious Ame-chan, and it has several modes! Streaming mode lets her do the magical streamer transformation and plays any of her stream animations. Streaming services has her watch Netflix in the dark. Play game lets her play on her favorite console, and idle just lets her sit there and do whatever. You can even pat her head!
I don't need to use most of the Desktop apps, but my favorites are definitely YouTube, Discord, File Explorer, and Games! The games button doesn't do anything, but I like how cute it looks!
Media Player is pretty tricky to figure out, but at least it introduced me to my new favorite app, MusicBee!
2. MusicBee!
MusicBee is this AMAZING free app for Windows. It's like iTunes, but soooooo much better! It's a library of music that comes mostly empty, but you get a selection of lots of great worldwide radio stations! The anime genre alone has so many good stations, and I haven't even listened to them all! You can also import music you downloaded into the library from your files, flashdrive, or the mobile app! I use it all the time to fill my head and keep me glued to the chair. It's such a good time killer.
3. RetroBar!
RetroBar is a beautiful app that lets you use Retro themed taskbars to spruce up your PC! You know that I had to get the NSO skin, and the pink ties in PERFECTLY with the rest of my theme. And it's just so much less cluttered than the Windows 10 version of the taskbar.
4. Open-Shell!
Open-Shell is the same concetp as RetroBar, except that it changes the Start menu instead of the taskbar. It's so cutesy! Again, much easier on the eyes than the Windows 10 menu, and less busy! It even has the same cute pink Start button that opened the game menu for NSO!
I hope that I went into enough detail for you guys! Please let me know what else I could do to make my PC more pink and retro! I think I can handle more of the high GPU stuff since I got the 16GB RAM update!
Recommend away!!! <333333333333
