i keep trying to write a song but i dont think i know how to write a melody or topline or wtv its called when the singing uses different notes than the guitar..
i always jst sing the exact same notes and i dont rlly like that </3

as someone who's been in band for a few years, try playing around with scales!! usually b flat or a flat gives you a lot of notes to work around that sound the same for both singing and playing. melodies are usually repetitive with both lyrics and chords :) hope you have a lot of fun making it!!!
