23/05 One day in my school, a counseling teacher came to my class and began lecturing. Then she ordered us to write somethin abt each other (seatmate only), that includes what are the best things of ur seatmate and what r their flaws? Let's be forward I'll tell u guys what flaws I wrote abt my seatmate. It went like:
"I like ur for who u are, and u always made my day. But there's something that keep my head noisy when I think abt u or when I am around u. Whenever teachers gave us essay assignments and allowed us to find answers from le internet (or from AI cus world these days r mostly full of AI), you barely rewrote the answers into ur own lang-style, so it seems like u just co-paste answers right away which are nothing compared to our blessed abilities of us thinker creatures. So why don't you use ur mind to modify the words a bit and combine some of ur thoughts to the answers? Yk not every stuff in the world r earned instantly, right? Just like earning answers for essays, u gotta at least try to research, form ur own thoughts, and put some efforts to memorize what we've learned and taught."
Some of u must be wondering, why did I write to my seatmate like that? Bcs it's the reality of students in my country (bold to say Indonesia). A lot of them rarely use their minds to be critical and thoughtful for answering essays or educational questions, they want everything instant and then they just co-paste generated answers made by AI. Majority of them r using ChatGPT. But in my opinion, IT IS OVERUSED and gave majority of negative impacts to them. I trully feel bad abt that and I want to make my seatmate aware about the risky AI usage (if possible, not only my seatmate and my beloved besties at school). If I have one wish about what I'd like erase this year, I'm obviously choosing ChatGPT and its clones to be erased. I miss the era when we students are LITERALLY putting efforts on searching answers from the internet, combining their own thoughts. NOT BY INSTANT GENERATED ANSWERS FROM AI!
Please note that not all students are like this. When I mention my country in this blog, don't use it to stereotype that all students there hates thinking and want to earn everything completely instant. There are still Indonesian geniuses out there with their talents and skills appreciated overseas.
- Sincerely, me :D
