My thoughts on Pink Diamond (Spoilers)

I used to watch Steven Universe when I was 12 and really enjoyed the concept and characters. There're a few flaws, but it's still a fantastic show.

If you don't know what Steven Universe is, it's a cartoon show about a kid named Steven and being a part of this alien group "Crystal Gems". It's a really interesting story and I strongly recommend giving it a watch.

Now onto my thoughts on Pink Diamond.

I never really considered her a bad person. She's flawed, but she always had the best intention. When she saw life on earth, and how beautiful everything was, she wanted to protect it. When she tried to help as Pink Diamond, she was ignored. She turned into Rose because she believed it was the only way to stop destruction on Earth.

The pearl situation is hard to pin-point. From memory and a few clips I've seen, there could've been a romantic relationship. Rose seemed to have open relationships with others / humans. We have to remember she's an alien, and probably didn't see humans as... humans. In a few clips with her and Greg, she made comments about how "entertaining" humans were. It was after meeting Greg, she finally understood humans, and treated Greg like a person.

I saw a theory that if Rose was alive, she could've been with both Pearl and Greg, as her past relations seemed to be more like open relationships. What we do know is that she loved them both dearly.

Onto her abandoning Spinel. Spinel is only an entertainment / toy gem. She was given to Pink when Pink was a "child". Pink started to mature and grow up and was ready to form her own colony. Pink wasn't a child anymore. She needed to move onto the next chapter (Like how we were as kids. We grew up and stopped playing w/ toys). I never cared for Spinel, so my opinion on her is basis. 

Bismuth was planning on shattering gems, and I'm guessing she did try and talk it out with Bismuth, but it didn't work out. I don't know why she didn't tell the gems. Maybe to not have the gems have a negative view on her...? Unsure, but we know the reason as to why she was bubbled.

Pink Pearl was admitted being an "accident" but still caused lasting effects. I will not try and explain it as I have no room to comment on it / someone who had experience with this would be better at it then me.

I don't believe Pink ever wanted Steven to deal with all her issues. When she gave up her life for him, the war had been dealt with, and they were all living in peace. How could she have known that her son will have to deal with her mess. I'm sure she wouldn't have wanted that. Steven has the right be upset about it though.

I think Pink was an immature, selfish person at the start, but slowly wanted to change and become better. All my points that I listed are basis, and you are welcomed to share your thoughts too! I just ask for you to be respectful and not be rude. Otherwise, I will block you.
