Silverstein Concert 05.03.2025

Agh! Finally catching up on my shows! I was convinced I'dposted this but apparently not!! So in march, Silverstein came to Paris for their 25 years of Noise tour, and I wasn't originally planning to go because even though I like them, I don't listen to them that much. But my friend convinced me by telling me that Thursday were opening.... so the title here might be deceiving because although it WAS a Silverstein concert, most of my pictures are from Thursday's set... sorry!!!

I showed up to the venue (Le Trabendo, right by the Paris Zenith, which is one of my favourite venues in Paris actually) later than I normally would've. I try to always show up a little before the doors open just in case there's already a long queue, even though usually there really isn't much if at all. My friend arrived at like 2pm because she wanted to see if she could get a glimpse of the band members (and she wanted to see if she could get Geoff to sign her copy of his book, alas, she didn't get to talk to him). Even though I came later it was fine cause there was no queue as per usual.

Now for the actual show, Thursday's set:

(as per usual, no videos because I'd have to post them unlisted on youtube and I don't wanna)... THURSDAY WERE SO INCREDIBLE, my friend and I managed to snake our way to the very front (but a little to the side to avoid stagedivers and all that) and it was SO CRAZY. Like words can't even begin to describe it, knowing I was standing so close to THEEEEE Geoff Rickly was so INSANE. I got full body chills. They really gave it their all, and as per usual the crowd was super wholesome and cute, I think that's why I love Le Trabendo, the crowd is always so chill, the moshers are careful, everyone's really looking out for each other, it makes you feel like you're truly a part of something bigger... I still think of This Song Is Brought to You by a Falling Bomb.. it's been months but seeing that song live was life changing.

Onto Silverstein:

My friend and I moved to the back because I don't know the lyrics to the songs and I didn't wanna like... idk... steal some hardcore Silverstein fan's good front row spot, ykwim??? It was still lovely, we had loads of fun, they're really good and oh my god. So sweet???? They're so sweet! Honestly when I left the show I felt like I was on a little cloud. Maybe it's because it was their 25th anniversary tour but the whole night felt like a real love letter to the scene, like a big retrospective sorta.

As per usual, shoutout to the other openers of which I unfortunately have no pictures, it was Bloom (who r an australian melodic hardcore band and who were super nice!!) and the Callous Daoboys... both very good!!! :)
