Issue #2: How to write a song

 1. find inspiration: you can take inspiration from things that happen to you, for example, do you have a crush? does he like you back? write about that. if nothing happens to you, you can create stories, think about anything! something that you would like to experience; a fantasy story, a love story...

2. write the lyrics and make the music: i like to do both things at the same time, but you can write the lyrics first, then the music, or the other way around. you will grab your instrument of choice and start messing around with chords, play with melodies, have fun! you can also do this just by singing, you don't even have to play an instrument. you will think of the topic you chose to write about and start creating lyrics, it could be as simple as "we were together in the parking lot", or you could use metaphors, like "our souls aligned when we were hiding behind the cars".

3. mix the song: to mix the song, you can use any program you like! personally, i use sony vegas or bandlab. bandlab is very intuitive and perfect for beginners, like me lol i suck at mixing my songs.

4. post it to a streaming website (how to post it on spotify? how to schedule release?): to post it on streaming services, you could use distribution sites, like distrokid, cdbaby and landr. in my case, i use distrokid. it's pretty easy to use!

5. tricks n tips: this is important: write any ideas that come to your mind! throughout the day, you could think of a random lyric and it's important to write that down, it could be of use later.
