When it Hurts
I take a look at the page and there’s tear drops, confessing my sins until the pen drops, no one to vent to, all I have is me, my thoughts replaying all my memories.
I remember having diaries of a million songs, dreaming of the day when y’all can sing along, stuck on replay, that’s when I missed your call, I had everything until’ I lost it all.
Remember...
When it hurts, just stick to the music, feel what you feel, til’ you know how to use it, sometimes the melody can be confusing, I’m writing this story, so I can never lose it.
When it hurts, try to feel the pain, tear down your walls and let your feelings rage, don’t be afraid to fall, it’s all, apart of change, when they stand tall, don’t try to save face, cause this your saving grace.
(Let the music play)
When I turn the page, the ink bleeding through, somehow my past got a lot to prove. My world is made of glass, just trying to see it through. Trying to make it last, make it bulletproof.
Bro always told me, “take my advice”
He even died fighting for his precious life.
Friends ain’t solid, always be aware,
Family ain’t either, they’re just forced to care.
But what happens when there’s nothing left,
When you find yourself taking that last step,
When oxygen isn’t enough and you struggling to breath, when you praying to God, asking for relief?
When it hurts, just stick to the music, feel what you feel, til’ you know how to use it, sometimes the melody can be confusing, I’m writing this story, so I can never lose it.
When it hurts, try to feel the pain, tear down your walls and let your feelings rage, don’t be afraid to fall, it’s all, apart of change, when they stand tall, don’t try to save face, cause this your Saving grace. (2X)
