Disconnecting from social media - an advice

Hi everyone!

So, a few entries ago, I came across a blog post about quitting social media. I loved the idea, also it’s something I had already been thinking about for a while so I'd like to try it out (e.g. deleting TikTok, Instagram, etc.).

The thing is, my friends (even when we're sitting together at school) are constantly scrolling through their phones and not really interested in talking etc. You get the picture. TikTok has also been a way for me to discover things I’m genuinely interested in (alongside all the brainrot on my fyp), and I know YouTube wouldn’t fully replace that because they just don't come across your page the same way.

So here’s my question: Do you know any websites or apps that aren’t built around endless scrolling but also help you with developing your interests or finding out about new thing? Or are just a nice way to kill time when you're not in mood for any of your hobbies?

(also please keep in mind that English is not my first language so sorry for mistakes)

its mostly about a movement called the web revival, but i think its a good step to start backing away from modern/mainstream social media
