dont think i can make an actual poll but i wanted to ask to the people who watched riverdale back when it was new what they thought about itΒ
i never saw a single episode but i remember my ig being flooded by riverdale memes in 2018 and i know it went very off the rails in the later seasons so
was it actually that popular? looking back do you think it was cringe? and especially did people actually like it for the plot?Β

The first bit of the show was decent, but the producers kept milking it after the blow-up in popularity. Literally pulling random plots out of no where and frankly forgetting about character development and that its OKAY to end a show lolol. They just wanted to put out more seasons and it was only kept popular because people thought it was "quirky and different" to be a Jughead fan.
TLDR; The beginning was good but it fell off, stayed popular because of Jughead fans
