So, I have been thinking about the possibility of switching schools, but I am not sure. I decided to ask here to get a second opinion. I am not happy with my current school (although it kinda depends on the moment), but at the same time, I’m not sure about leaving it. I’m too scared—I have never switched schools before.
- I don’t have many friends, and I’ve had some bad experiences here. Plus, the teachers are horrible—the academic level is high, but most of the teachers are mean.
- I feel like everyone else is having fun during their teenage years except me. I feel like I’m slowly losing friends. I want to have a friend group, yk? People at my school won’t accept anyone new into their friend groups for some reason. Maybe if I start over at a new school, I’ll find my people.
- They are too strict. We can't go to the bathroom during class (which is okay), but the issue is that they won’t let us go to the toilet during BREAKS! Where am I supposed to go? They also prohibit us from sitting on the stairs or walking around the hallways DURING BREAKS. Sometimes they don’t let us take a break because some people talk during the lesson, so the teacher gets angry and decides that we all should pay for their mistakes!
- Some people are so annoying. For example, this year, there’s a guy in my class who wouldn’t stop bothering me. He kept telling me how ugly I am, throwing my pencil case on the floor, stealing my stuff, grabbing my school bag, and going through it. Luckily, he stopped after I ignored him multiple times and told him how annoying he was.
- I’ve thought about leaving this school for a long time (except on 8th grade i think). I want to feel like I belong somewhere—I want to have fun. I do enjoy some things about my current school, but I have never truly felt like I had a group of friends. I wanna go out and enjoy my teenage years.
  on the other hand: I have a few great friends that are worth staying for. Maybe the new school will be worse, and I’ll end up missing this one. Mean people exist everywhere. My current school has a high academic level and prepares students well. Or maybe switching schools is the best decision ever—I just don’t know what to do.

I've been at my high school for a while now, and I have to say I hate it. The people are mean, and so is the education, but unfortunately, I can't change schools. But in my opinion, and given all the pros and cons you've posted on your blog, I'd tell you to change schools. I feel like it's not worth staying in a place you don't like for so long, as it can really depress you and make you feel excluded. Teenagers are shit, and from what you wrote, there are more cons than pros. In the end, the decision will be yours, and I'm just giving my opinion. But I do recommend changing schools. Good luck! ;))))

heyy girlie ngl i first saw ur profile and you are soo " us core " i wanna be frnds with ya. See, mean ppl are everywhere and the good ones too ik it feels horrible at ur current school but i think you should change it coz this schll sounds hell, and abt your frnds, you can always stay in contact with them and remember real frndships dont get effected by distance. Its better to find a new place where you feel you belong, trust me teenage years are worth spending with your frnds and being in a great environment is better for ya. Like in my case i just feel like my schll is my another home, the people are so good here yet many mean ones and they teachers and staff is so caring plus kind( obvi not each one but its good to find a new schll filled with great teachers as they play a huge part in making schll years better and fun). And you are gonna find great frnds too so dw abt not being in a frnd group!! trust me its gonna be weird and hard at first but after you blend in a bit and the bond with the ppl in ur schll is starting to get better life will be fun! i think changing schll might help ya and what if you find great ppl out there! Idk if i was a bit helpful but yeah thats all i could tell and i think the only reason holding you back from changing schll is losing your frnds but what if you get to meet more good ppl and still talk with ur old frnds...that better than it sounds so i hope you make the right decision!! Hope this helped!!

From my experience (in which I didn't switch), you could be happier somewhere else, but it's a fact you won't be completely happy were you're now
I'd say it's worth switching if there's a chance of being even a little better, you can always keep in contact with your current friends and find a good school where they teach you well
