(maybe offensive) Hot Take...

Yes i love my Religion, but i feel like a lots (not all obviously-) of Religious 'laws' are made by men in order to get an excuse to dominate women.Β

Idk if i'm saying this because i'm from a extremely Religious family but that is exactly what i'm saying...

you are 100% correct. I was raised christian and I learned through hyperfixating on the faith that so many things have been changed over the years as the bible has been rewritten by man after man after man. they removed books that talked about women in power. a lot of people tend to forget, or not know, rather, that Jewish folk used to worship Yahweh AND Asherah. modern renditions of the stories that were told by mouth got so corrupted and mistranslated/misunderstood, and that led to a perfect opening for men to corrupt it. so, yes, a lot of the modern β€œlaws” in religion were created/changed by men to better control women and children via their faith.

I hate how it is done in almost every Religions. As a Muslim, even though people say it's a Religion of 'peace', the men use these phrases as an excuse to give women orders for their own pleasure.

Not only men are allowed to marry like 4 times, they're allowed to beat their wife for 'not being respectful'. Many men still say that they will be forgiven by God if they're a pedo but will not be forgiven if women wears makeup. And all of these sounds so fake and unreal, cuz none of these sounds 'peaceful' to me.
