Confidence is key

Okay, guys I'm genuinely emo I swear. I love the bands and the fashion most of the time but I literally don't know why I can't be confident about it.

Seriously, it's a problem. I grew up in a judgemental black household. When I first started buying band T-shirts and wearing more black, my mom said "who knew my daughter would grow up to dress like a monster high doll?" I'm not offended, I love monster high and I grew up watching them, so I took it as a compliment (I told her that too.) but idk, I guess I get self conscious sometimes. 

When I see other emo/alternative people (idk if that's the right term, please don't come after me lol) out in public, sometimes I'm like I swear I'm like you lol I just don't have my equipment on. 😭😭 But I don't fully confidently wear it yet. Any tips or just comments? I'd love to hear it ❤️
