more about me!

i have my interests widget on my page pretty short for the aesthetics, so i thought i'd expand a little more for fun!

general:

painting - i use watercolor and occasionally acrylic! im really interested in getting more into acrylic because i've seen some really cool work with watering it down. i also recently got acrylic markers and a glass ink pen that ive been having fun with :) i mostly do impressionism and have been trying to expand a bit more into expressionism & surrealism. i also reeeeaaaallyyyy like looking at art too, im the sort of person who sends paintings to my friends because i like them

writing - i've been writing poetry for many years now, and have been writing plays recently as well. i consider myself a hobbyist and im pretty shy about sharing my own work, but i loooove reading poetry so much and will look at any poetry you show me. i will send you poetry. i love poetry

theater - i looove theater and everything about it!! some shows i like: sunday in the park with george, heathers, jesus christ superstar, company, ride the cyclone, reefer madness, waiting for godot, the cherry orchard, basically anything by annie baker, most shakespeare, and i'm sure much more that i'm not thinking of right now LMAO

games - baldur's gate 3, spore, the fable games (specifically fable 3), mouthwashing, sally face, undertale, deltarune, five nights at freddys, don't starve, wizard101, clangen/lifegen, & an assortment of rpg horror games

animals - huuuge fan of cats and dogs!!! i also like rats, barn owls, big cats, canids, deer, rabbits & hares, and anybody with unique coloring! i'm also a big fan of anthropomorphism as a fashion style and art form (fancy way of saying im a furry lol), and im really interested in therianthropy and animalkin, i just think its neat. (also lowkey i am a dog. woof)

some misc interests i have that don't fit the other categories: creepypasta (classic creepypasta & pastamonsters), homestuck (like in a cool way i promise), dungeons and dragons, fantasy in general, horror in general, anatomy, vampires and werewolves and undead people :3

music:

i have a hard time discerning genres to be honest? but i like folk, punk, rock, indie pop, midwest emo, and lowkey anything that sounds nice :) also a big fan of choral music

!!! all time faves - the front bottoms (my favorite album is back on top!!!), ajj, blake rouse, hop along queen ansleis, jack stauber (favorite song is tea errors but favorite ep is the hand one!!), marina (& the diamonds)

big fan - dazey and the scouts, destroy boys, the crane wives, mitski, mother mother, paramore, my chemical romance, slothrust, mccafferty, childish gambino, tyler the creator, chappell roan

casual listener - big thief, two door cinema club, the smiths, pet symmetry, roar, sir chloe, veronica everheart, hey nothing, thesaurus rex, alex g, car seat headrest, pixies, tv girl, david bowie, the beatles, glass animals, and a whole bunch of misc artists

movies:

this list may be a little long, im pretty easy to entertain

sinners, lord of the rings, interview with the vampire (1994), princess mononoke, the cat returns, i saw the tv glow, john carpenter's the thing, heathers, little shop of horrors, the owls of ga'hoole, the disney animated robinhood, puss in boots the last wish (also the original puss in boots movie its so ugly but i like it ok), how to train your dragon, luca

i also like pretty much any animated movies, pixar has a Grasp on me unfortunately.

tv shows:

this list is Not long, i am bad at tv

tv - supernatural, house md, end of the f**ing world

cartoons - over the garden wall, the owl house, gravity falls, arcane, avatar the last airbender

anime - mob psycho 100, dungeon meshi, soul eater, madoka magica, evangelion

i'm sure theres more im just genuinely blanking rn oops

books:

fiction: vespertine, watership down, interview with the vampire, flowers for algernon, mrs. frisby and the rats of nimh, guardians of ga'hoole, lord of the flies

nonfiction: i'm glad my mom died, the glass castle

manga: toilet bound hanako kun, dungeon meshi

warrior cats: warrior cats

i'm currently reading diary of an oxygen thief by anonymous! it is. Crazy. and i'm positive i have more faves these are just whats on my shelf rn

heroes:

my dog i love her so much she means the world to me and is my best friend and my world

i do believe in critical consumption of media, generally believe you can consume art without showing support towards the artist, am able to consume media that doesnt necessarily align with my morals, etc, etc
