donnie darko movie review!!!

i knew absolutely nothing going into this movie and let me just say.. it was AWESOME. this is such a solid film and i dont usually say this until the end of my verdict but rewatchability is so important to me and this movie is SO rewatchable. i had such a good time seeing it ^_^

i dunno why but writing this feels like a school assignment.. um anyway i really liked the donnie darko character, im usually a fan of troubled kids (probably because i was a troubled kid lol) and i could relate to him on some level so i understood his actions for the most part. i am still kinda confused about the whole time travel thing, i think once i watch the movie again i can connect the book parts to the plot more :P i know that frank haunts donnie cuz he killed him but i dont understand how he went back in time.. if in that timeline he was still alive T_T ? i was kinda shocked they killed gretchen but since the world reset and everyone was alive except donnie (even the pedophile -_-) i guess that makes sense.. like, tragedy wise.

tbh thats all i had to say XD there wasnt anything crazy in the movie i wanted to touch on, acting was good, sets were fine it was just normal stuff, effects were fine it was 2001 lol. oh, i liked the view of his eyeball with the text and stuff :P i rate this movie a 9/10! i liked it a lot!
