This past Thursday [5.17] I got to see Hollywood Undead for the 2nd time and it was awesome. The venue was small and allowed for me to get a crazy good spot- I had a clear view of them the entire time and didn't even have to get drowned in the pit! The atmosphere was awesome, the venue was cool, and their energy was great as always.
Last time I saw them was March 2022 when they were touring with Papa Roach. That performance was super cool, but man the view this time around was so much better. They were much closer and I could see them clearly.
Before the show started, I got to see Charlie and Funnyman before the show, as our line passed where their tour busses were parked. Charlie was moving his car, and Funnyman was walking around with his skateboard. The guys me and my buddies were standing behind who were previously talking about how the long the line was turned and said, "You know, this line doesn't seem too bad now!" They were super chill every time we interacted and made waiting entertaining.
I was also able to snatch a shirt when we went in since the merch line was only 10-ish people long. I always love their tour shits that have the locations on them. It's always cool to see.
The show itself was awesome. ZERO 9:36 had some cool stuff. I hadn't listened to them before, but I gotta check them out now. Set It Off was was really cool to hear since I grew up with a couple of their songs during the height of my cringy emo era growing up. And of course, you can never go wrong with Hollywood Undead. They did a little mashup of some of their older music, which included a snippet of Usual Suspects. I fuckin' lost it dude, Day of the Dead is my favorite album and I've always wished for them to play their non-party songs from that album so I was incredibly happy to hear that little bit. With them headlining this show, they were able to interact with fans more and add a little banter to the show. Very cool.
After the show, me and few others waited by their tour bus to see if we could get a glimpse of them, and we did! Charlie walked back and forth from the building and the bus, and later loading his car with his wife. We also saw Funny and JDog. They were shirtless and walking around and we told them that the show was good and they were awesome, and they thanked us and were super chill.
I always love seeing their shows, and I hope to see them again. Maybe one day I'll meet them or get their set-list, but for now I'm very happy having seen them twice.
I meant to write this a few days ago but here we are! Hope you get to see your favorite artists and have good experiences as well!
