New Jewelry and Gauging [5.19.25]

Was on call with my buddies and spent a good 3 hours browsing Etsy for a new clicker for my septum. I was torn between getting something simple and getting something funky, since my current septum is a 12g green barbell. It's hard to find cool pieces as you size up though! People weren't kidding!

So after refining my search and combing through way too many pages, I settled on a simple silver clicker. The last time I wore a solid hoop was back in my 16g days, so I figured it'd be nice to have one in a bigger size. I'll be going from 12g to 10g! 

When I got my current septum, I wasn't a fan of the 12mm diameter instead of my usual 10mm, but it was the only size they had for a 12g in green. Green is shockingly hard to find, but I've also heard that once it gets to a certain size, the coloring process [it starts with an "I" but I'm blanking on the word] doesn't allow it to get as green as I'd like. As soon as I got this piece, I was worried about how it'd look given how far it hangs down, but it's definitely grown on me. That being said, I did order a 10mm diameter hoop though. I just like how those look, and if I change my mind, I could always order another one of that diameter later on.

As much as I like horseshoes, I do miss hoops. Originally, I stuck with the former because I could flip them, but that wasn't possible with my green one because it was too long. I figured what the hell, if I go bigger I might as well sport a hoop. Can't flip it, but it looks cool.

I'll update once the jewelry arrives! I'll be a little over 2 months healed from my last stretch so I'm gonna be attempting to put in the new piece :)
