I don't know why, but it seems like more and more people are trying to appear 'cool' by not caring about anything, despite knowing that being cool isn't a binary box that one has to act a certain way to fill.. Being passionate and 'cringe' is cooler than feigning stoicism. I always see Autistic/ADHD people get degraded by others for 'caring too much' or being 'cringe', and I never understood it. WE define what cringe is, so why are we calling things that have no harm, such as liking a certain fashion style or TV show embarrassing???
The culture of having to perform 24/7 just to conform needs to be eradicated, making oneself digestible at the downside of their own happiness just isn't right, at some point, the pressure and expectation to fit into a certain 'genre' of person can be crushing. Instead of trying to fit into a certain stereotype to seem smart or cool or tough or someting why cant we all just STOP PERFORMING !!!! STOP BEING NONCHALANT!!! BE CHALANT!!!!! START CARING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyways ..... I like caring i love being emotional and annoying and chalant !!!!!!!!!!

Istg, like being non chalant is the epitome of the ridicule. Forcing yourself to not care about anything is baby behavior, sometimes even manipulative as shit
Like I’ve seen people saying they willingly appear non chalant with their partner to hold a subconscious upper hand to make their partner keep trying. LIKE WHAT?! That’s not love but manipulation, people, who do this are either insecure as hell and need therapy REAK QUICK or they just love being loved, they don’t love their partner
Like also There’s nothing wrong in being appreciate of something, nothing wrong with being ✨ALIVE✨ like imagine if everyone was non chalant and every time you try talking everyone acts like they don’t give a flying frick about you?
But then again, society is promoting to be less, to have less, to feel less, just like minimalism and the whole aesthetics that goes with it, just to make us more easily manipulated
And that’s why I’m YAPPING, bc I have things to SAY and I’m NOT ABOUT TO SHUT UP BECAUSE LETS BE HUMAN

EXACTLY!!!!! Can actually trying be cool again?? The fun thing about being human is that we can have interests and personalities and not be carbon copies of whatever is most popular at the moment!!!!!! I love when people have something that makes their eyes light up when mentioned!!!
