INTRO POST

Hello!! We are the forest system!!

Our collective name is Asher/Ash and we collectively use they/them pronouns. Although (like with most systems I've spoken to) not everyone agrees with the name and pronouns.

We currently have 48 known alters (probably more that that total). We are bodily 16.

This blog isn't a place for syscourse... don't ask us our opinion on endos because it'll change depending on who you ask (please just don't ask!!)

Our system name is "the forest system" because our headspace is literally just a massive forest and a cabin-like structure that's too big to call a cabin. (Someone please ask us about our headspace..... i love talking about it)

We often flip between i/me pronouns and our/we pronouns... mostly depending on who is fronting and if they care about keeping our DID secret.

We often joke about the headmates being "voices in our head" we are fully aware they are more than just voices, it was originally just a joke between us and some friends.

We are trying to show that DID can be fun and lighthearted. We know that the things we post don't completely show how DID is. We don't enjoy talking about the harder parts of this disorder even though we (obviously) experience them. Please don't call us out and say "oh well you only show the positive parts so you obviously are faking", that can lead to all of us being really confused and just frustrated. Thank you for understanding.

We are in the process of an official diagnosis (easier said than done). So far we just have therapist confirmation that DID is what we have.
